assoc. prof. Pedro Da Luz Moreira from the Federal University in Brazil at UEM

From April 18 to 22, 2023, University of Ecology and Management in Warsaw hosted assoc. prof. Pedro Da Luz Moreira from the School of Architecture and Urbanism of the Fluminense Federal University in Brazil.

This was the first mobility of an academic teacher from the partner university in Brazil, with which UEM has so far collaborated under a bilaterl agreement, carried out within the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme and the project „Educational Mobility for Higher Education between Programme and Partner Countries KA107-2020”.

During his stay at UEM, assoc. prof. Pedro Da Luz Moreira conducted classes for students of architecture (bachelor programme). The topics of classes included housing issues of the city of Rio de Janeiro and Guanabara Bay, as well as urban sprawl in Brazil. In addition, his mobility was an opportunity to exchange experiences and discuss cooperation between the both universities during a meeting with the authorities of the Architecture Faculty, Dean of the Faculty –Małgorzata Leszczyńska-Domańska, Ph.D., prof. UEM, Vice-Dean for Quality and Development – Bogdan Gorczyca, Ph.D., prof. UEM, and representatives of the teaching staff of the Faculty of Architecture, Artur Buława-Gabryszewski, Ph.D., prof. UEM, Janusz Marchwiński, Ph.D., prof. UEM and Mozahem Zin Eddin, Ph.D., prof. UEM.

Throughout the mobility assoc. Prof. Pedro Da Luz Moreira also met with the University’s Institutional Erasmus+ Coordinator – Vice-rector, Justyna Kłys, Ph.D., prof. UEM and Erasmus+ Programme Coordinator – Karolina Urban, M.Sc. He also got to know the university’s infrastructure as well as monuments of Warsaw.
