Kampinos National Park was created on 16th January 1959 thanks to Jadwiga and Roman Kobendz. It is situated in the Central Mazovian Lowland, between the left bank of the Vistula River and the Bzura River, near the north-western outskirts of Warsaw. The area of the park is 38 544.33 ha, including 72.40 ha for the European Bison Breeding Centre in Smardzewice in the Lodz Voivodeship. There is a protection zone around the park. Apart from nature protection, the aim of the establishment of the Kampinos National Park was to protect the historical and cultural monuments located in the Kampinos forest. The geographical location of the Forest determines that its history is particularly connected with the history of wars and uprisings, which were not rare for Poland.

Employers Council
Employers CouncilIn order to ensure the highest quality of education for students, consistent with the expectations of current and future labour market, Employers Councils have been established at the Faculties of our University. Their establishment was accompanied by the idea of developing effective cooperation between the University and representatives of business circles and public administration of Mazovian Voivodeship who are interested in the functioning and effects of the scientific and didactic activity of the University.
Council members are involved in the education process as co-teachers of practical or specialization classes and participate in exams, including diploma exams. Employer representatives also propose research issues that become the topics of diploma theses, thanks to which students solve real problems of cooperating enterprises.
