As a result of growing number of persons with disabilities interested in studies at UEM (WSEiZ), the Rector of UEM has appointed Irena Kosińska, PhD, Eng., as Rector’s Plenipotentiary for students with disabilities.
Paramount objective of Rector’s Plenipotentiary’s actions is:
To enable students with disabilities full participation in didactic process as well as social, scientific and cultural life of the University;
To even out the educational chances for people with different types of disabilities;
To eliminate any architectural, informational, communicational and psychological barriers that would impede studying;
The Integration of environment of students with disabilities;
Shaping favorable attitude towards people with disabilities.
At UEM operates a mini rental for equipment for persons with disabilities. In its resources there are among others:
Furthermore, all of our classrooms and auditoriums are adapted to the needs of persons with disabilities. There is also a wheelchair stair climber in our building at Rejtana 16 street.
