Staff Week 2023

Erasmus+
Once again, from May 29 to June 2, 2023, at the University of Ecology and Management in Warsaw was organised the International Erasmus+ Staff Week under the Erasmus+ Programme.

The event was attended by staff members from the partner universities from Brazil, Dominican Republic, Kosovo and Ukraine:

  • Priscilla Hoelz Pacheco from Universidade Federal Fluminense, Brazil,
  • Larimar Esther Ovalle Rondon and Lorenzo Antonio Martinez Lebron from Instituto Tecnologico de Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic,
  • Sokol Krasniqi from University of Applied Science in Ferizaj, Kosovo,
  • Alla Klepko and Tetiana Kostiuk from National University of Life and Environmental Sciences, Ukraine,
  • Iryna Sushko and Marina Shkrobot from National Technical University of Ukraine ” Igor Sikorsky Polytechnic Institute”, Ukraine,
  • Nataliia Marynych from Sumy State University, Ukraine,
  • Marharyta Buhera and Iryna Zarubinska from National Aviation University, Ukraine.

as well as the authorities of the University and employees of UEM. Among them were: Institutional Erasmus+ Coordinator – A Vice-rector, dr Justyna Kłys, prof. UEM, Erasmus+ Programme Coordinators – mgr inż. Karolina Urban and mgr Paulina Wąż, a Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Management – dr Katarzyna Adamiak, prof. UEM, a Vice-Dean for Quality and Development of the Faculty of Architecture, dr Bogdan Gorczyca, prof. UEM, mgr Ievgeniia Mashukova – a staff from the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Engineering and Management, mgr Nataliia Sokolova – Head of the International Cooperation and Marketing Department.

Participants had the opportunity to learn about, among others things:

  • UEM infrastructure,
  • other partner universities,
  • the higher education systems and education quality assurance systems and tools in Poland and other countries,
  • forms of cooperation with the socio-economic environment,
  • International marketing and mechanisms of cooperation with foreign countries,
  • Information on Erasmus+ Programme projects and international exchange,
  • Polish history and culture,
  • basics of Polish language.

These meetings provided an excellent opportunity for discussion, exchange of experiences and good practices between partner universities. They also enabled the establishment of bilateral cooperation between partners. In adddition, participants had the possibility to taste Brazilian, Dominican, Kosovar, Ukrainian and Polish sweets during the International coffee break. A visit to the Museum of Life under Communism and Warsaw’s Old Town was also organised during the Staff Week.
